| It's finally that time again. Proving Grounds Nuremberg 2022 is just around the corner! We want to celebrate the start of the new semester with you and invite you to participate in the biggest eSports tournament at FAU! Short Rundown: What: League of Legends Online Tournament When: 14.05-15.05.2022 from 12pm-8pm Where: Online Prizepool: 300€ Who is allowed to participate: All teams with at least 40% of members from universities in the Erlangen-Nuremberg region. What is Proving Grounds Nuremberg
Proving Grounds Nuremberg (PGN) is the largest eSports tournament at FAU and is aimed at all members of the universities in the Erlangen Nuremberg region. League of Legends is played in a Swiss tournament format.This is the possibility to compete against other members of the university and to prove one's skills. The tournament format makes it possible to compete in a timely manner against teams with similar skill levels and therefore promises an exciting but also fun-filled weekend for all participants.
When?
From 14.05. - 15.05. we start again with you on the Summoner's Rift. Besides a 300€ prize pool we are very happy to entertain you with the live broadcast on Twitch. 4 games on Saturday, 4 games on Sunday followed by a best of 3 final for the top 2 teams. Start of the games is at 1:00 PM in each case.
Where?
The tournament takes place entirely online.
Who?
All teams are allowed to participate, as long as at least 40% of the players are part of a university or college in the Erlangen-Nuremberg region. I.e. no matter if students or professors, everyone is welcome to look for a team of comrades-in-arms to enter the fray together.
We would be especially happy if university initiatives participate in the tournament, because we think it is very valuable if students can perceive the university groups and initiatives from a different point of view and thus develop a closer connection to the university and its groups.

How?
To play, you can sign up for free via Toornament from 04/17/2022 until 05/13/2022 at 8:00pm.
For the Spectators
For those who don't want to jump right into the fray themselves, we offer a spectacular live stream, just like last year. The event will start on 14.05.2022 at 12 o'clock. There we will present the teams, broadcast the games and start the final matchday on 15.05.2022 from 12 o'clock. The weekend will be rounded off with the grand finale and the announcement of the tournament winners.
